her "hope chest" that my dad made for her before they were made for her before they got married 45 years ago.
We said "yes" and late one night while 3 of my 5 kids were sleeping, Whitney started to clean it out. For almost 45 years it's held my mothers wedding dress, their cake topper, hundreds of vintage wedding cards addressed to the newlyweds, & the $3.50 receipt for their wedding license.
For fun, and to please her mother and grandma, Whitney tried on the CEDER scented, yellow stained wedding dress.

Pointy b00b dresses was the style in the early 60's, so my mom said.
or maybe it was the br@'s? then the dresses?

Shhhhh, Whitney did not fill it out all of the way.

I yelled for my dad to come up from his office and pose next to Whitney as if she was my mom 45 years earlier.
Say cheese Bridezilla!

If my mom would have let me take her dress home, wouldn't that have been a fun Halloween costume?
